Default 5th Gen: White stripe or white letter tires?

Gang,

Do any of you 5th-Gen owners have (or had) tires with white stripe sidewalls or white lettering? Which brands make them? Are they difficult to find?

Thanks for any information,

Bruce

I had the white letters on my old monte... they were Eagle brand, it was 9 years ago, so I can't remember the style. Just go to a tire shop and request white wall or white lettering.

Its getting more difficult to find white lettered car tires anymore. Mainly because they just dont look good on cars. Im sure if you searched you can find some but usually they are low performance tires.

I take offense to that haha.

Get any tires you want, make sure they have some good lettering. Then you can go to town with these things. Seems to hold up pretty good if you do it right. Ive still got 3 more tires to do haha

White Walls and Raised White Letters look great on cars, but it has to "FIT" the look of the car. Depending on the look you are going for, WWs would look great on a 5th Gen. I have also see people use BF Goodrich Radial T/As on 5th Gens and they also look GREAT. Its all up to you. Remember, YOU are the owner it the only that has to be happy is YOU.

Brock, I love your car but that photo did nothing to sway my opinion. White letters and WW dont look good on cars IMO.

Good tip tho, much less expensive than buying a set of tires.

So far I've only found 2 brands of white letter tires in our size for 6th gens, one of course being the Goodyear NASCAR tires and I forget what the other brand was.
Funny story about mine. The lady that owned my Pace Car before me wanted the NASCAR Eagles, but she wanted them in yellow lettering, which was discontinued. They only come in white now. She painted the letters yellow, not sure what she used, but it doesn't look that good.
