Where's the Tundra?
Hi `Jason, Thanks for your post/input.
I enjoy reading about the competition of all model's.
I think competition creates better products.
I do like the below Tundra, but I bet it will cost over $40K + : (

I just hope that we can afford the fuel to drive
it probably will we have seen some limited crewmax's sell for close to 50k and they buyers don't blink.... we had one after accessories and optional equipment hit 75k but he put evrything you could fathom including an aftermarket supercharger 75k for my tundra........moneybags. knowing by adding my supercharger that my warranty is gone........ (grunt) i got what i want... i just paid 75k for the truck you think i care about warranty????? ..... look on all the peoples faces at work when he picked it up and paid cash (priceless).... like i said yall i aint tooting yota's horn just because i work for them but in a few years of experience and when the diesel comes out the big 3 are going to have to do something... not even counting nissan, they cant even build a rear end that will hold up in a b ig truck yet!
The op's Picture is PRICELESS. Thats a great idea for Chevy Truck TV Comercial. LOL
NTIMD8T:
Toyota makes good products. But when it comes to truck, those"Real Truck guys" are either"Like a Rock Guys" or "Build Ford Tough Guys"
So yeahToyota sells, but it won't be able to getnowherenearChevy or Ford.

I just got an 07 Silverado EXT cab 5.3 v8 - with lots of chrome stuff added. This truck is head and shoulders ahead of my 05, which I turned in for this one, and I think the new one looks dynamite.
I'm a very staunch "Buy American" type guy, (even though I'm Canadian)so I just wouldn't by a Toyota or a Nissan, PERIOD. Both Toyota and Nissan are trying real hard to really break into the pickup market, and they are going to chip away at the Chevy (GM) Ford and Dodge numbers.
All the OEM's, domestic and others, build a good product in my opinion. Most truck buyers, me included, don't really care if the thing will haul a 400,000 lb trailer. Most use their trucks in place of the family car, or in addition to it, to haul a boat, camper trailer or to run down to Home Depot and pick up some stuff. So a commercial showing the thing hauling a zillion pound load, unless you need that, who cares.
I honestly (not because I own one) think the new Silverado is the nicest looking pickup so far on the market. (I'm sure a matter of personal taste)The fact that it also won M/T Pickup truck of the year, although a nice honor, didn't influence my decision to buy it. I'm a Chevy guy, and boy, I hope us North American buyers realizehow important our domestic automotive industry is to us.
Oh and buy the way, my new Silverado was made in Oshawa, Canada.

Hi Bill ~ RevItUpFaster ~,
I believe the competition is good for everyone, and I think the
Silverado is better because of `it.
I sure hope you post/share some pictures of your new Silverado : )
That would be a great bonus. Oh, and give us a review : )
Thanks again for posting, and being an active contributing member.
where as when i owned a dodge i was told by the rep that dodge does not fix any squeaks rattles or trace noises, like he said if the thing works no matter how noisy etc... dodge don't care because it works... don't get me wrong as a man running around with toyota across my chest but i know a little more of what is going on..
Well I can tell you there are those owners who are not about to let this happen. Dodge may not care. And they may beat around till the customer get's tired of complaining but they still hear about in the meantime.
My parents have always taken good care of their vehicles. Regular service and the vehicle goes to the dealer for any out of the ordinary sound.

I'm a Chevy guy myself. My cars have always been GM. S10, Firebird, Sierra, now Monte Carlo. I have a pic around here I need to show you Chevy guys. Couple guys I work with where our mudding behind my work. 1 guy had a Ford Bronco, lift kit he got stuck and his buddy with a Dodge Ram with a 8" lift try to pull him out and couldn't and ending up getting stuck himself. My dad hooks both up to his old 94 Suburban, 250,000 miles, all stock, origanal parts (where a chevy family). Pulls them both out at once. I told him if we got this on videotape, Chevy would buy it. LOL, still don't let those guys down. But I'll admit the Tacoma X-Runner is the only Toyota I think looks good, but wouldn't buy one. It's either Sierra or Silverado whenI want a truck.
There is an S-10 SS around here that has a Caddy front clip on it with the pentagonal grill but no emblems. Looks pretty cool, but for those of us who know the difference it makes it even more interesting.
