The parts for YellaJAC 's trans have arrived. So she should be done by Sunday. The Lex has a bad timing belt. $1350.00. It should be done tonight. So I'll be back on the road x 2 by Monday! Yay Me!!!!

 

Glad to hear the parts came in. At least you will have both the cars back in no time.

 

Hey JC, life has a way of testing us to the extreme from time to time. Glad to hear things are getting back to normal. Before long this will all be story telling over a few cold ones.

 

Well, Pepboys says the motor in the Lexus is shot. No compression at all. But they did not change the timing belt before doing the check. They are having another, more experienced mechanic check it out. But we are looking at getting another car!

Yeah Jason, I prefer to shop for a car when I don't NEED to buy one.
Good news though, YellaJAC Trans is getting all new sensors as was speak! That makes me feel a little better!

 

Well, the Mrs's LEXUS is headed to the bone yard. Thanks to some assistance from her mom and dad, we picked up an 05 Altima 3.5 in Great condition. Fully loaded minus Sun Roof and Nav system.

The Trans Work on YellaJAC is done. She is shifting into all gear. So I get to take the FZ8 back to my son, and get my Baby back!
May the 4th is definitely with me today!

Thanks Zach! It's been a really rough week I'll tell you. But things are looking up. I'll be taking my last ride on the FZ8 today about 1pm. Give my son back his Baby, and show him How much I appreciate all he has helped my with. Then bring my Baby home!

 

So I got YellaJAC back from the Trans guy! All the Solenoids were replaced but I am still getting the P0741 code for the TCC stuck open. The difference is now it is coming up as a pending code in Green instead of a code in red? I think this means that I have one or more bad connections to the TCC. What do you guys think???
