We were primarily a Chevy family. My dad had a 1970-72 pickup my he taught me to drive stick with when i was a pre-teen. My mom bought herself a brand-new "mid-sized" 1976 Monte Carlo. My brother had owned a couple of '68 Camaros, that top my list for favorite car body design to date. My other brother had the odd fastback 70's Mustang….
I grew up around and sat in big American cars my whole young life.
And so, my first was my baby: A purple 1995 Z28…….…..I didn't like the black top, seemed more elegant in same color roof and body. Smooth slick lines, sharp nose, and oh so responsive. I took care of it for 15 years. My favorite part was the growl of the engine when I would roll out of a stop. Beautiful sound, that. Owned it it's whole life till some flea shaped Honda Insight slammed into my Z's front end and totaled the car for good……..
Aaah, so now I drive the old Monte that managed to outlive it's younger more powerful sibling. Almost considered giving it away a few months before I lost my car. Go figure. The Big Blue knew it's time would come.

Well I paid for about a quarter of it; plus I'll slowly be paying back the rest of it lol.. Parents figured that it was a great opportunity since it is my dream car with only 2400 miles ; But yes, you're right, my parents are awesome

My first car was as 94 Buick Regal. . . .it was a "learner" and i hated it at the time but as you get more and more familiar with cars you realize that some things aren't as bad as you thought. It was a fun "mess around" car. The first car that was actually mine, was a 96 monte carlo ls. Silver paint with the 5 mag wheels and an all black leather interior.
On a mildly related side note, my second car was my 02 monte which is midnight blue, and for my 06 i took the 2 favorite things from both cars . . . blue exterior and black leather interior . . . . . .can we say DREAM CAR?¿?¿?¿
