Hi `Barbara,
Another great thread topic returns to the MCF. Prior Member's will have to search for their past post on this topic.
Former thread on this topic for member's that have posted b-4 (2010)Click >https://montecarloforum.com/forum/of...u-owned-23408/ (2012)+ >https://montecarloforum.com/forum/of...u-owned-33316/
I enjoy reading/seeing what other member's have owned & driven..(Pictures are a + 4-Sure)...`if you have them...
My first car was a 1995 Honda Del Sol Si (like below) that I did lot's of `Mod's...The most important one was a Garret Turbo, Lightweight Fly Wheel, H.P Clutch > Several Transmissions & gears replaced, locked diff & Drag Radials 4 the track, ignition upgrades, shifter & many $'s more (WoW)
(I spent just about every $ I worked 4 to get it & Mod it)
Traded it even for my 2005 Monte Carlo LT with less then 5K miles (my first Monte) I beat him with my Honda & he wanted my Del Sol. (He was a rich kid) He later blew it `up & abused it , but his parents got him a Corvette next.
I had just got busted for street Racing (lowered to wreckless opt), but it cost me a lot 4-Sure....Last time I raced on the street & encourage `all 2 take it 2 the Track 4-Sure...
Traded my above 05 Monte LT for a 06 Monte LT3 with the 3.9L, 242 HP & $1K + tax/title & fee's.
Had to sell it to pay for college...I got $18 K for it back in 2007..
Now I am Monte-less , but thankfully I have a company car to drive & saving for my new dream ride (soon) I hope
I love the Chevrolet Monte Carlo's & I know that I will have another one in my future....Priorities & `Life keep getting in the way...
When I get a home with a large garage >then it's car shopping time< = = = = = = = = =>"2 dare 2 `dream in SpaceVision<

A fun trip through memory lane.... All pics below are of the actual cars I have owned.
#1 - 1984 Buick Century (4-cylinder). No, it did not look like this when I bought it, but it was rusty as hell. Bottom line, the orange was supposed to be brown according to the can.
#2 - 1984 Chevy Camaro Z28 - Sold the '84 Buick and bought this baby. Still have my baby, but she's in pieces in the garage as a restore project that has not had much traction.
#3 - 1993 Buick Century (3300 v6) - About 1-2 years later, bought the 1993 as a winter beater (granted, this car was very clean short of a spot of rust on the trunk and fully loaded).
#4 - 1993 Grand Am (3300 v6) - Some one rear ended and totaled the '93 Buick. Grabbed a '93 Grand Am to replace it (again clean and fully loaded).
#5 - 1994 Grand Am (3100 v6) - The previous Grand Am was sadly wrecked. Picked this one up to replace it. Side note, before the red Grand Am was wrecked, the Camaro spun a rod bearing and that is what began it's "restore project" many years ago.
#6 - 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo - No pic to put here (but plenty in my garage on MCF). This was bought originally with the idea to be a future daily driver replacement for the '94 Grand Am. Since that has changed (it is now a dedicated summer driver).
#7 - 2002 Grand Am GT (3400 v6) - You can see part of my '94 Grand Am. She had lived a long good life and at 215K miles I sold her off. Drive train was fantastic on her, but the body was rotting away something fierce. I grabbed the '02 Grand Am as a replacement. This one was bought cheap but needed a lot of work and cleaning. After a lot of time spent and about $400 in various new and salvage parts, this car was made right again and fully road worthy.
#8 - 2004 Grand Am GT SC/T - Sadly, the black '02 was wrecked. With the insurance money, I was able to find the Grand Am I could not afford when I got the black one. A very nice '04 Orange GT SC/T (has the ram air hood and a different factory spoiler). Sorry, no pic to post of this one (but I believe I've posted other in the past here on MCF.com).
And that is it for now. See what the future continues to bring.
