Don't ask Mike @ Mike's Montes. Cause I know for a fact he's parted a FEW...... of them.

Heck the last time I was at his house, there were five SSs setting out back he was parting.

Maybe not all '86 models, but still it has to account for a couple of the 41,xxx made in 1986.

Monte Carlo's are the winningest car in the history of Nascar - in manufacture and model. The Monte Carlo was the Chevy template in Nascar for more then 30 years total and before the "Car of Tommorow" and was the template for all Nascar cars for 10 years (regardless of manufacture). Sprint Cup used the exact width and length and general shape of the Monte Carlo (while the height was actually about 4" short then a stock MC) for Ford, Dodge and Toyota too. This is to speak only of wins at Nascar's top level. In stock car racing in general (local short tracks and such) the Monte Carlo is still widely spread (though differing in specs).

That is why I choose this car. In the modern era, there is nothing closer (street legal) to the look of a Nascar then a Monte Carlo.

With my Monte I love:
- Instant power delivery/throttle response
- Sleeper factor- nothing like suprising the hell of what shoudl be faster cars
- Overall ride quality/feel- sporty and comfortable- I prefer it to the Fbodies/Mustangs I've owned and ridden in
- Overall look and lines of this generation Monte Carlo- understated and aggressive
- It goes great in the snow
- It gets damn good gas mileage for the way it performs
- It's pretty easy to work on
- It's damn reliable for the amount of abuse I subject it too
- Big *** trunk

I love the shape of the body lines. I love the supercharger and the gas mileage is great too if you don't drive with your foot on the floor. Handling isnt bad for such a large car seems to stick to the ground pretty good.

Love the color and different style badging.
Sunroof ftw!, Nascar style spoiler.
This next one maybe overlooked and minimal, but i love the fact it's dual exhaust, this car with one muffler just doesn't look right.
The stock rims, they're shiney! lol
The interior space, aswell as trunk space.

Camrys and don't forget the tons of Pruis's on the road! LOL...

I usually see a couple Monte's a week. Definitely not a common car, but I do see them. However, the are usually 6th gens...seeing a 7th gen is few and far between.

Although, I just saw a bronze colored 06/07 1LT yesterday on the way home from work...
