Oooh. Ouch. I can honestly say I have an idea how you feel. I've got scars on my hands and arms from ripping my skin open on sharp hidden objects at work too.

Not trying to out do you or anything. Just a related story that may or may not help you know you're not alone.

One time at work last year. I was using a steal punch to punch lettering on thick metal. Just as I was bringing the hammer down, a co-worker distracted me. With my attention diverted from the punch, my thumb moved into the line of fire. The hammer came down full force on the tip of my thumb. The end of my thumb split open and was gushing pretty good. The positive side was the thumb went numb so I didn't feel the pain at first. Took months for the pain to completely go away. I never realized how much pressure simple tasks puts on your thumb. As you are most likely experiencing now.

Hope your thumb gets better soon man!

thanks Lou. Your story is alot worse than mine out of the hundreds of seats i have cleaned one finally got me. I think it could be a possible flaw in the seats. I got it cut on the braket where the seat folds down. it looks like someone sharpened it like an axe cut straight though my glove and cut my thumb like a razor blade
