Jerry, that looks like it could be a hell of a job to do! Being at work 8-9 months and collecting unemployment it must be pretty good for you........

 

How do you let that happen, first priority is: smokes, beer and then food......

 

I have no job again but i could always go back but i think ima try to buy a paint booth this summer & open my own shop, ok now im out Emily is getting pissed that i keep lookin on the forum

Chris, it used to be a really tough job. Never a Saturday off, anywhere from 8-15 hours a day and only Sunday to relax. Now I rarely work a Weekend because the state has no funds to do work. Most of our work Is state or fed funded. I think I worked 3 or 4 Sats last year. Most of my days were 8-10 hours max last year. I dont mind working 5 12 hour days if I can have the weekend off. Man needs 2 days off. 1 to take care of the yard and cars and 1 to rest for Monday and watch the race...

 

I dont work out on the road, I do design work for the new roads and do Quality control work as they are in production.

 

But i see that company isn't your local paver, they do the big stuff like highways and so on. Good stuff, hope i land myself a job i like one day, and get paid better than i do now. I've been working for 1.5 years and have managed to only crawl 65 cents/hr away from minimum wage

 

I spent 8 years in a local grocery. Marsh Supermarkets. My first job. Then decided to get educated but can't really say that had anything to do with where I am today as it def didnt. So don't let it get you down.Most young people jsut do not know what they want. I darn sure didn't. So once you figure it out, get after it. Honestly, I loved the grocery store. Just not the holidays and weekends.
