Mornin all. Hope everyone is doing OK on this "hump" day. Got up late this morning, but I had to sit for a few and eat my bagel and drink some coffee, so I thot I'd pop in and say HI.

Good Morning Everyone,

Well, yesterday was actually a pretty decent day. But the day ended with some kinda shi**y. After work, I parked the Monte, went in the house, ate dinner and relaxed for a few. Then I went outside to the Monte so that I could top off the coolant from my change the day before. As I walked up to it in the driveway, I saw a wet puddles on the driveway....YEP! Leaking coolant! Son of a B**** so I turned on the Monte to try and home in on the leak, luckily it was not to hard to find. It was dripping out of the thermostat housing. So I figured GRRRRRRRREAT (sarcasim) now I have to take off the thermostat and see whats wrong. (i'm thinking the gasket didnt seal correctly). So I took it off, all the coolant I just put in yesterday comes rushing out. (AGH). Sure enough, gasket is folded so thats why it was not sealing correctly. Therefore I used a new gasket (felpro-(IMPROVED)) and put everything back together, filled with MORE new coolant, and thought I fixed the problem. To my horror, the damn thing was still leaking (thank you POS Felpro (improved) gasket (improved my ***). SO I took it all apart AGIAN, lost all my coolant AGIAN, and will be going to the dealer today to buy a new OEM t-stat gasket. Oh and lets not forget I need more coolant now too...LOL! I guess I got the cooling system flushed alright! haha

Other than that, work seems pretty slow (which for today is a good thing, i'm hoping to leave early so I can fix the Monte).

Morning. still feeling sick, but I hope a little better. Yesterday was tough and I was not feeling well at all. Was supposed to go to a conference today, but didn't feel good enough so I am off to work.

 

Give the car a tune-up and it rejects it! :P

In Center-city where I work things are melting nicely, but out of the city where I live is still HUGE mounds of snow everywhere, all the 2-way streets are 1-way it's such a pain. IDK how long it's going to take
