When you buy electrical parts at a salvage yard you get a 30-30 warrentee which equals 30 seconds or 30 feet which ever comes first. If you buy electrical parts from an auto parts store like Autozone and the like you own them. At their discretion they may offer an exchange. I have read your earlier posts. This guy didn't install this as a stock radio, he has a system installed. It is too easy for him to have screwed it up during the install.
If you want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt you could take the radio and take it to a shop from troubleshooting and repair. They can tell you from the faulty parts if power was applied to the wrong wire. If he screwed it up during install then its on him, if they say its a fluke then you pay the repair or split it.

 

some of those ad's are hilarious. I sold a phone on eBay before and the girl tried to say she never got it and wanted a refund. She didn't realize I had delivery conformation on it and when I asked her about that then she tried saying it didn't work right. Finally after about 3 months of emails I told her to send it back and i'd send her a different phone i had if she paid the shipping. I never heard from her again. She just wanted it all for free. SO I don't sell anything online anymore either
