The reason I would say the same thing that Cheney said is because those 70% of American couldn't locate Iraq on the world map. People have to understand that more than half of the country could care less about what happens in the government thus so I could care less about their opinion. If all they are fed through the media is the bad things that are happening in Iraq anyone would come to that conclusion.

Although I don't have anything invested in the Iraq war I can't understand why people would want them out without knowing the consequences. I can't realate to anything thats going on over there cause I haven't been affected by any part of the Iraq war and most Americans are the same. Tell those 2/3 of Americans how long we have been in Iraq and they would know cause it hasn't affected them. There just going along the bandwagon.

Both parties are corrupt.

Look at the great hope Obama, he's turning out to be just a plain ol' run-of-the-mill politician.

In the 2004 convention, he told the nation that racism was about 90% conquered.

He said there were just a litle ways togo to eradicate racism.

In his speech this week, you would think that the nation was back in the early 60's.

McCain appears to be the best of 3 evils right now.

Dave, Dave, Dave... or should I say Darrack

It sounds good, but it has little practical value to it. OIL, I can refuse to buy it, but what would I do for fuel, or for heating the house and water, or cutting the grass, etc. I can refuse to put my money in banks that invest in companies that produce their products overseas, but then I would be forced to pay for check cashing fees, and money orders, and extra postage, etc. I can refuse to buy a vehicle that is not 100% produced in the USA, but what would I drive? I could refuse to do business with any company that uses oversea operations, or personnel, or illegal immigrants, now what could I buy???? What services could I use????

No... Currently we have very little choice, and that is sad. What is even sadder, is the fact that our DOD, our Government, lifted the regulations off defense contractors so that ALL DEFENSE TECHNOLOGY had to be USA produced. NO... We have CHINA building guidance systems and Stealth Components... OH YEAH.... Our technology is now still secret!!!!!!

I am sorry, not a very positive position... But what is positive about what we are doing to our country???? We need to put regulations back on our Defense Contractors. We need to put HEAVY TARIFFS on ALL imports, and yes this could temporarily cause prices to go up, but it would force manufacturers to move back home, and that would create more high paying jobs to offset costs. It would also allow us to buy back our Country and to become a LENDING country instead of a BORROWING country. OH... I forgot... Stock holders would actually have to give up some short term gains to... and I know this is a new concept these days... for LONG TERM Gains! WOW, imagine a company Today, that is actually focused on something further out than the next quarter, or even two quarters that involves GROWTHinstead of LOSES and CUTBACKS.

NO BAIL OUTS! Yes... this could again cause some SHORT TERM hardship for EVERYONE! But it is INSANITY to Continue to BAIL OUT COMPANIES!!!Because they milked the companies, LIED to stockholders, and CHEATED their way to GREED!!! No... The company Officers need to go to jail!!! All their personal assets taken and sold to payoffthe debts!!! Imagine that, being held accountable for yourACTIONS. Instead of getting away with it, or put up in aCounrtyClub Jailwhile your family lives largeoff the money you STOLEN, and the US Government (US Tax Payers) pay for your GREED! Your MISTAKES!

WOW that felt good to get rid of all that anger... OK... Ya'll have a GREAT DAY! LIFE IS GOOD! and I am HAPPY AGAIN!

Craig,

We can have all our idealistic dreams and ideas, but dreams and ideas don't run nations.

The fact is that the forefathers drew up the Consistution to make the U.S. a sovreign, centrous, capatilistic society.

Short of electing 9 radical supreme court justices who will rewrite the constitution, it will always be that way.

When push comes to shove, there will always be a centrous, capitalistic person elected as president.

It is what it is my good friend.

I should have said a free, sovreign, centrous, capitalistic society.

That is why every choice we make it a vote of sort.

Corporations are probably lawyers and Congressman's greatest invention for the last 200 years (thats sarcasm by the way)

I mean think about it... you create a company that, as far as the courts are concerned, has all of the rights of a person. The people in charge are not liable. When somebody wants to make a company, he forms a corporation, pays some taxes, and he is free from all liability!!! It's a difficult concept.. you'll have to think back to high school civics class, but in all reality by forming a corporation you are not liable, you form a board of director's or trustee's who will always throw the blame on another member, theres no evidence to convict anyone, and the Corporation gets off free.

Isn't that terrific? (more sarcasm there)

I like Craigs thinking... no politician is ever thinking long term... they are thinking what they can do to win the next election. That is it. There is no long term thinking anymore.

I think it may be time for a National recall of Congress, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court. Take down everyone and vote in all new people.

Thomas Jefferson said "A little rebellion every now and then is a good thing."

He also went on to say that a country needed a small rebellion ever 25-30 years to keep the Totalatrian Federal Government in check to the people. There hasn't been a rebellion since the civil war that I know of.

Dave,

You meant a free sovereign centrist capitalistic society. But it is a shame a Democrat has to go in, straighten out the ills of the Republicans, only to p-i-s-s off the country to let another Republican in again to screw it all up again, and p-i-s-s off the countryso that a Democrat goes back in to clean up the trash again... Only good republican was Regan, and I only voted for him once. But I only vote for a Democrat twice, Jimmy Cater, and Bill Clinton first election. The rest of the time, I vote for whoever just to say, I voted, but I didn't like the candidates. If B.O. is the Dem, I will probably do the same thing.
