Default updates on the cts-v

i figured i would fill you guys in with whats happening with the cts-v..... we got in contact with a local performance shop and was talking about wanting to get the blower and snout ported. they said they are interested in doing the work at an extreme discount since they never ported a LSA blower yet and they would want to use our car as a test subject on the dyno to see the gains from the porting......

needless to say we took the car down and got base line numbers, made 570whp on low timing do to heat soak (heat soak is the reason why we are porting the blower and snout) then brought the car back home and pulled the blower and snout. it is currently getting ported as we speak, once its done we install it and hit the dyno again! local performance shop is figuring 1.5-2psi boost drop from the porting and they are guessing somewhere in the 610-620whp range will be final numbers on this car. i will keep you all posted as this process continues.

thanks man, thats the plan! with that kind of power the car should run 10's in the 1/4 with slicks..... we may end up doing a cam either this winter or next winter then this car will be done. (a cam will gain us around 50-60whp which will put the car just under 700whp)

with the cts-v getting so fast turbo monte needs more love now lol im thinking its going to get a bigger fuel pump and some nitrous

nothing worse than the cars being envious of each other, sibling rivalry lol.

Definitely keep us updated as it's just plain cool to see what you do to your cars

Sweet deal. Best of luck on everything.

Out of curiosity what is your rear wheel/tire set up? Figures 600+/- you really won't have much grip if any with street tires?
