Somebody in my Grand Prix club posted this. Thought I'd share.


Twas the night before racing
When all through the shop
Not a tool was a turning
All work had stopped
My DR’s were loaded in the trunk with care
In hopes that the morning, soon would be there
The racers all settled in there warm comfy beds
While visions of perfect lights danced in there heads
And me in bed with my pj's and cap
Had just settled down for a much needed nap
When out in the driveway there arose such a shout
My Grand Prix had snuck out for a smoky burnout
And to the window I flew, along with my kin
Threw open the windows and watched with a grin
The smoke billowed forth like a cloud on the ground
And the smell of rubber wafted all around
When out of the center, to my eyes did appear?
A Grand Prix hooking like a mother in 1st gear
On 2nd, on 3rd, on 4th gears she flew.. I can’t rest!!
Cause crossing the traps yields a new personal best!!
