new brake pads & rotors on the truck are done! :) come on man.........:rotfl: Gelato (plural: gelati) is the Italian word for ice cream, derived from the Latin word "gelātus." (meaning frozen). Gelato is made with milk, cream, various sugars and flavoring such as fresh fruit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fruit) and nut (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nut_(fruit)) purees (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puree) Gelato isn't the same as ice cream though:thumbsup: Its got less butter fat and is churned more slowly resulting in a thicker product. being about half Italian i should know this, lol. but living in the sticks, i've never eaten or even seen a gelato before :o

That's not a real gelato

All they did was churn it slower and make it SEEM like it is denser because it has less air and (just a tiny bit) less butterfat.

A true gelato is AMAZING, you really should try to find a local shop that makes it fresh. Maybe when you start to travel some, get to some cities, you will find a good shop.

I know in the Italian Market there is a great gelato place here in Philly. I often frequent it when I'm in the area.
