Mornin guys. That was definitely a Monday. I'm glad it's over. Getting your *** chewed by the plant manager for circumstances out of your control is not fun. It's even worse when you realize that he directly lied to you during said *** chewing. That bothered my supervisor and I more than the chewing did. Her, me, and our manager all have each other's backs and have been forced into an "us against the world" mentality. Our shift manager is on vacation but took the time to send an email of encouragement. It's not fun but knowing they have my back is encouraging. I've had supervisors throw me under the HHS before.
Enough rambling though. I saw about Robin Williams. That's terrible. From 2008 till 2010, I struggled with severe depression. For much of the summer and fall of 2010, I contemplated suicide. Once found myself staring down the barrel of a pistol but somehow never pulled the trigger. Thankfully I never attempted it, and for quite a while afterwards I couldn't even accept that it happened. I've now accepted it, and make myself available for anyone (especially fellow veterans) who find themselves in situations where they feel hopeless. It breaks my heart seeing anyone take their own life. 23 veterans and current military commit suicide each day. Countless more attempt it.
When I was in that dark time, I always said "I'm fine" to those around me and never reached out for help. It took some friends reaching out to me and seeing through the "everything is ok" facade to pull me out of that period of my life. Just know those close to you. If something seems off it probably is and do what you can to help them.
I have a new lease on life as a result of friends who jumped out of their comfort zone knowing I needed to know that people actually gave a crap about me.
Sorry bout the depressing story, but some stories need to be told. I hope y'all have a great day.

Morning guys.
We experienced some crazy rainfall here yesterday. Detroit Metro Airport recorded 4.57" and Warren 5.2". Metro Detroit is experiencing widespread flooding - roads are flooded and lot of the freeway system is still impassable this morning and drivers are being told to avoid the whole Metro Detroit freeway system. I-75 under I-696 has nearly 14' of water and there's said to be about 50 abandoned cars completely submerged just at that spot. A lot of people abandoned their cars which are still sitting in the middle of roads/freeways this morning. I've never seen anything close to this - it's a mess. Hope you guys to the east don't get hit this hard.

Good morning all. Was raining today the whole ride into work, was kind of nice since I love the rain.
Hopefully it holds up later as I want to get the Trans Am out tonight, but we will see I suppose.
Been a rough last week and a half or so for me, I need to get a ride in to clear the mind.

Good mornin' all. We've been sizzling in the 90s the last couple of days. Yesterday we beat the old record for the day of 94° with the mercury settling in at 96°. There's another 90°+ day in the forecast for today. The future's so bright I gotta wear shades...

Detroit Metro Airport actually recorded 1.24" of rain in a 24 minute period during the 6pm hour yesterday - the area averages 3" for the entire month of August.

Good afternoon everyone. Went to Erie yesterday for a day to the beach but it ended up raining. So instead went to splash lagoon which is an inside water park. That was a lot of fun too. Now I get to go to work tonight but oh well. I am at least off this Friday again.
