125 say bye bye

 

close to 140 in my 06 racing a new 335i bmw. and i would say close to 150 in my 80 racing a c5 vette hard to be exact with that 80mph speedo but the motor was turning an extreme rpm and we were pulling away like he was tied to a tree until we blew the belts off that is. a win is a win though. that actually scared me. that car isnt built to handle extreme speeds for extended periods of time.

The Monte is speed limited to 107...hit is all the time.

2000 Bonneville 3800 same thing...107

2003 Cavalier 2.2L Ecotec Same thing...107

1989 Silverado 5.7L Speedo stopped at 85, and pops up on the other side, and got it to 30...so 115ish MPH.

2002 Rustang GT with mods....145, and it still had a few MPH left in it.

The 2009 Cobalt rental...105, then I let up because my exit was comig up...LOL

Sisters 1999 Toyota Solara SLE V6....135MPH (hit speed limiter) I found it sad that I could take her off the line in the Monte, and i'd hit a wall at 107, then she could fly by me..

120 in my 06. I was running out of road (and getting scared about going that fast at the same time) so I stopped there hah.

 

me n my buddy just took his 79 dodge aspen that we jusf got done with a 360 swap..to a airport south of us that he has been doing some work for and they let us run it on the strip a few times

 

best speed was 133 ...we left there and got pulled over cuz the cop saw us runin in there...he mainly wanted to check our fhe car and just said better not do that out here....

 

160 in a buddies '69 Roadrunner. Pulled off the highway and lost the oil pump, middle of the night.
150 in my '61 Ford F100. ('70 428 police interceptor in disguise!) 500hp.
135 in the Intimidator SS.
130 in the Solstice GXP.
65 in the '82 Olds Regency.

 

1977 Nova(dad didnt know I took it out) 70. I was 15 at the time and he wasnt home. The Elgin O'Hare Expressway was just built.

1986 Carpice Coupe. 85 on the speedo, but could swear it was going faster as the needle kept bouncing up and down. When I did let off the car felt like it was going to shake apart. Once again took it on the Elgin O' and was pulled over in the middle of winter.

1996 Fookstang with slight mods 130. Have a nice quarter mile strip along th bak of my work. So i decided to give it hell. Didnt time myself but still it was fun.

2000.5 Tahoe Road trip with friends taking turns driving. Any interstate we could find. 105

2004 Grand Prix GT(rental) 107. Felt like I was flying thats how smooth the ride was. On my way to Carbondale Illinois

2006 GTO 115 I was DD that night for my other two drunk friends. Macomb Illinois

2006 MC LT 95 on accident, but it seems like the faster the car goes the more it just feels right. I got that high because some dumb idiot wouldnt let me into their lane when the lanes were merging, so I gunned it and this person, we will leave it at that kept taling me through I-290 heading towards Chicago.

 

Well I had my 1998 Lumina LTZ maxed out many times with the speedo burried at 115.

Had daddys 93 Vette up to 135, it doesn ride the smoothest so it was getting really rough so I backed off.

Have had my Sierra and dads Silverado Dmax both maxed out at 95.
