Thanks for the kind words gang. I've "been there" for a few friends in various situations (I thought the worst was a guy involved with a chick lying so bad she was still MARRIED )! But nothing, I mean NOTHING I think prepares you for someone close to you attempting suicide! I had about a 30-40 minute drive to the hospital yesterday I I was pushing that Grand Am I drive HARD to get there ASAP!
My wife stayed at there home last night to care for the kids, let them relax at home and such. I had to take car of our dogs and a host of other things that HAD to get done today. I'm leaving in a little bit to see these two. Last update I got was the wife was going to be discharged (personally, given what all I learned and what happened, I wish she was forced to stay there so it would keep her in a controlled environment just for another day or two).
I'm glad my wife and I weren't further away (another option we had to do yesterday and opted not to would have put my wife and I well over an HOUR from home).
I know these two have had some issues over the years, but nothing like this. I'm hoping she can get past the addiction and past the obvious urge to commit suicide and ultimately, I hope they both can improve as a couple. They have two young kids who I hate to know they could witness something this horrible.
Alright gang, signing off and heading out.
