Today has been Hell! (vent)
Today (Saturday) started with the promise of being a great but busy day. What little did I know would happen roughly an hour after I kissed my wife good by this morning.
I was off to meet up with a former co-worker, check out his new garage and then off to a car show/open house at a dyno shop. 10-20 minutes after getting to my friend's house, I got a call, had to apologize and leave FAST!
I can't explain all the details, I can't explain the people involved. But a couple close to my wife and I are having problems (to an extent we had NO idea). Basically, the long and short, I got called away because the wife of these two attempted suicide by over dosing on various prescription meds
It has been exposed that she has had a very bad addiction since at LEAST December to an extent I won't share, but it's not good.
On the plus side, by the time I arrive to meet up with my wife and other close friends and members of the couple's family, the wife involved was doing fine, they were using charcoal to "flush" the stuff out of her. I spent hours at the hospital, the husband of the two was in a state I've never seen him. I'm doing my best to offer him all the assistance I can. I just feel very bad for the two of them.
Right now, I am hoping that the wife can get all the assistance needed to get her cleaned up (as she is of no good to anyone or herself in her current state). I don't expect tomorrow to be "normal", but hopefully less crazy.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Sometimes its hard for men to share feelings or open up about a problem. Even if your friend won't talk about it just being there for him will help. Good luck and we are here for you if you need to vent some more.

Hi `Jason, sorry you missed a eventful day ,
but `true friends give `up to help `true friends.
I hope your friends get the help they need to recover from their problem.
Life can be stressful & many don't know how to cope or seek help.! Wish you better days...

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes with your friends....
Recovery is a long hard road. and theres no quick fix.
Speaking from experience!
I've been clean over 30+ years.. all you can do is like most already said.
and thats just being there as afriend for moral support...
The good route to follow is usually a good 30 day treatment program.
Getting a sponsor and going to meetings...acceptance is the first step!
Good Luck and god bless to you for being there...In there time of need...
Prayers for your friends and her to stay strong in her recovery!

You are the man ! It takes a Man to shove his plans aside to help a friend in need. Jason that shows your one HELL of a guy to rush off and help 2 dear friends that need your support. Can't ask for a better friend. Like Mike said...if you need to vent on here. Were here for you and understand completely. Rick

Agreed!! You will have time for the car shows and dynos. Family and friends are far more important than material things. You have learned that and I congratulate you for
being a real man and helping your friends.

Sounds like you and your wife are good friends of this couple. They will need yourcontinued support and some professional help. Sounds like this gal is crying out for help of some sort.
