Mornin' folks!

The baby has got me up good and early. But I got a reasonably solid 4 hours sleep there, so I'm pretty much good to go. My current schedule has my work week unwinding quickly with a 6-hour and a 4-hour shift Thurs. & Fri. respectively, so the worst is behind me now. I will enjoy the same generous breaks as an 8-hour shift and the day is going to fly by. This job is going pretty good. Things are pretty good.

I'm not working what I want to `do @ present being in the office instead of being on the docks...(Just waiting for my new assignment, but still getting paid...) I'm thankful 2 be working, living & loving Life 4-Real!

Good morning guys.

We're under a heat advisory today, suppose to be 95 degrees and feel like 105.

I went to test drive that Malibu yesterday which went fine but when I got it back I really did a good walk around to inspect the body and noticed a large line about 3 ft. long of small dents and chips down the passenger rear door and onto the rear quarter. The wheels were pretty scuffed up, and they were willing to have them repaired and cover the cost, but for what I'm looking for additional imperfections in the body are not acceptable to me so at that point I walked away from that car.

I think you were wise to walk away 4-Sure...There's just to many good vehicles for sale on the market this time of year.

Patience can be difficult if you are on a busy schedule...I hope that you can make it a fun adventure in your search to find the right vehicle for you....Any vehicle is a major investment & it sure pays to take you time and check everything out before you purchase...I'm seen or know to many that purchased a vehicle because they fell in love with the looks and then later after they purchased found out there were many problems discovered

Wish you good luck & we look forward to see what you get to add to your Automotive Stable of Vehicles.

Earthquake Off Florida Was Really A U.S. Navy Explosion

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida -- Two 3.7 magnitude earthquakes off of Florida's east coast detected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) on June 10 and July 16, 2016, were actually planned explosions by the U.S. Navy to "shock test" naval vessels.[/FONT]

The above picture release by the U.S. navy shows the June 10 explosion that was the first of three scheduled full ship shock trials in the Atlantic Ocean. The shock trials are designed to demonstrate the ship's ability to withstand the effects of the nearby underwater explosion and retain required capability.[/FONT]

The U.S. Navy is expected to release a more detailed statement regarding the explosions later this week, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.

A veterinarian was aboard the test vessel to ensure the safety of marine mammals.

We take the safety and security of marine mammals seriously,” Capt. Thurraya Kent, a spokesperson for the Navy’s acquisition directorate, told Defense News. “We have to keep in mind migration patterns in addition to the other variable of sea state and weather. We also have additional lookout, more than you would normally have when you’re out to sea. We do not conduct test shots if a marine mammal is in the proximity.”The USGS has since revised the quake as an 3.7 Magnitude 'Experimental Explosion' by the U.S. Navy
