Pressing the "Backspace" button or "Alt + Left Arrow" will make your browser go back a page. There are probably other ways but those are the two default methods.

So, who else read justins initial post and imagined him just hitting keys angrily on his cell phone? Do you have qwerty justin?

 

There is a button on the side of my mouse at work that goes back a page. I freakin hate it with a passion, i've lost MANY long detailed threads to it. And as Matt mentioned, the re-write never sounds as good. :P GRRRR!

 

Trust me, I've been there MANY times. Especially here on MCF. Times like you guys already mentioned. Lose internet connection and end up having to re-type a revised version. Accidentally hit the back button, or clicked the preview post button instead of submit post.

But the most frustrating time I've had was a few years ago on the old Monte Carlo Forum, after the virus attack. Space can relate. He had the same problems. I remade the MOTM Winners Gallery three times, only to have all but the first sentence disappear a few hours later.

I know what you might be thinking. With a virus on the server, of course stuff like that will happen. But I'm talking about after the server and forum were completely cleaned. The old forum was corrupted pretty badly. All kinds of weird stuff would happen when you posted. Appostrophies would multiply, voting polls no longer worked, pics wouldn't work, and the most frustrating thing for everyone was the length of posts. You could type as much as you wanted. But when you submitted your post, only the first sentence would appear (if your post worked at all). Among many other glitches.

It was so nice to finally move to the new MCF in 2009.

 

That does sound pretty frustrating.
I know sometimes when I type, the work carries a letter to the end, so I could type" take" and it comes out" tkea"

 

Now that you mention it Augi, there are some common typing mistakes on MCF that a lot of us make. Some of the ones I can think of that I've made are:

motne (monte)
fourm (forum)
monte of the monte (monte of the month)
taht (that)
teh (the)

Just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Anyone got any others?

 

O i waS MAD!!! it was even more frustrating is had just gotten done going through the whole thing editing all my mystake be it my phone putting words together wierd,spaces, my finger sliping and hitting the wrong button, ect
