It bugs me when non smokers are so critical about the stuff. If you're going to talk badly about it, know what you're talking about.

Just my .02.
... yeah you need some education also

THC is one of many chemicals found in WEED.... once the THC is in your system it Mimics high levels of dopamine and serotonin. This is what gives you the "high".
your brain actually doesnt know the difference and thinks these THC are normal neurotransmitters.

An addiction is something someone cannot stop, weed DOES NOT cause a physical addiction.... meth cocaine heroin.. etc cause physical addiction

Low blow dude, come on you don't need to bash me.

Sure, it makes you sad for a short period after the buzz runs off. But to compare it to something like meth or heroin is insane. That's all I was trying to get across.

Reefer Madness

When you have propaganda and outright BS like this flooding the media it's no wonder so many generations were misinformed about cannabis.

...Thanks Seattle `Mike for the link + the wild/crazy promo picture...That's a old movie & I have bookmarked it to watch (when I can make, or find the time)..It was made around the time that my grandfather was born I hope to see him this Thanksgiving & hopefully we can watch it all 2gether (& fire one `up) LOL (j/k)
I've read about propaganda & my senior friends talked about it, but Wow it sure is interesting American History 4-Sure...

I'm surprised to view the present results on our POLL ..So far to me it reflects a open-minded liberal percentage of participating members are in favor of making weed legal & taxing it...

I think it's better then taxing workers more, or increasing government income tax or increase state taxes etc...

Thanks `Mike & Member's for your words/posts...I've enjoyed & we are keeping our forum active & mak'in our sponsor's happy..

Peace/Happy ~> Out

Just out of personal experience, I love the stuff, don't smoke it right at the moment because it's too expensive, and if you get in an accident or hurt at work you get tested. But I smoked it many, many years, was in the Marines in the South Pacific and smoked some really killer weed. I would like to see it legalized, however, smoking at work is a no-no, or anywhere it might offend someone. I used to burn at work in my 20's as a carpet installer (still install at 50!), and was a companys best installer, with many folks wanting the long haired guy to come back for repeats, and builders only wanting me and my partner to install the new homes in their developements...and I was a stoner then!!

However, I was over the top, and my wife got the craps of my constant habit, and wrote me a letter stating to make a choice, now bear in mind she's no nag, and very lenient and understanding, hell she partied too! I stopped the habitual use of it, and am happy for it, still enjoy the occasional buzz, will most likely get a little for Christmas vacation to chill tough with, but never over the top again!! Just my two cents.

A lot of pot heads around here!

@ bizparr and iMSeRiOuS: You're right, I've never tried it so why should I bash it? Well, I bash it because I think it's garbage and will never try it, that's my opinion, got a problem with it? TOO BAD You want to try and educate me on a drug that I'll never have anything to do with, feel free, but it won't change my thoughts on the matter. I've seen people who "think" they need weed. Your telling me it's not addictive? Whether it's physical addiction, mental addiction, WHATEVER, I've encountered people who would have done anything in some situations to get their "high" and that's just what I've been exposed to. I never said all weed smokers are addicted, I simply shared what I have been exposed to. We all have different experiences or am I wrong about that too?!

I'll continue to be drug free whether it's legal or not.

Mental addiction can lead to physical addiction.

When I'm angry or down I do the mature thing and deal with my problems in a civil manner, which includes a punching bag, working out, working on my car... not getting drunk or smoking weed to 'forget' about my problems.

Face the issues and take care of them instead of pushing them behind you.

If you smoke weed because it's 'fun'... then I don't even know what to say to you, so many more fun things that come at a cheaper price... venture out into the real world a bit.

Oh yeah, there's a reason jobs test for weed, it's so they know you're reliable and not messing up when you come to work... they wan't people that know what they're doing and will do a good job, not people that are happy off their 'butts' (if you will) and don't care what happens.

i agree with both of you

Legal or not, it's not a drug for me, I'd rather go to an amusement park or heck a car show for fun instead of sitting in a basement doing nothing.
