They only way I see your statement being true is if weed is priced at a price the buyers/users agree with. But if not, then no, robberies will rise because these criminals/users will not overpay for their fix or high. They'll be forced to give up their addiction, continue to buy it illegally, or steal it. <<==Which of those do you think a pot smoker is likely to do? If buying it illegally has stricter penalties and becomes less of an option, you think the majority of weed users will just drop their addiction? In my opinion, they'll steal it or get it illegally before they ever consider giving it up.

There has always been thieves since the beginning of time.

There has always been those that take from others for a multitude of reasons. From the child that steals candy to the top stockbroker that takes ones savings...Yes, some may steal for drugs, but they are few compared to majority of taker's.

It's been proven that our government can not control the illegal sales of drugs that so many American's demand

I wish there were not illegal drugs, but there is & with the major debt our country is facing we need to find funds to pay off our debts or we will be owned by other countries like China.

Since our country can not control the use of this plant called marijuana, I believe the government should get the profit from it & not the illegal dealers...*Note, our government presently grows & distributes pot for profit for medical reasons.

Yes, I think there should be severe penalties for mis-use & abuse...Control & tax it like booze and get the taxes to pay for the way our govenment spends our tax dollars...I think we need to control our politicans & remove them `if they don't do their `job...(It will only happen if "We the people" get involved in the process ? What are you doing to make it better ? (I ask myself ?) `> I make posts on the MCF, + create polls> LOL

Or, we can do nothing & let other countries & organized crime groups receive the profits of this product called marijuana and go futher in2 debt...

* Note: Yes, some people abuse drugs, but many people abuse themselve, they abuse alcohol, FOOD, their government, their employer's, their familes, their country etc...There are those that just take & never give...They need to be retrained (they need to work & pay their own way) or shipped outa the country...."America <~> Love it or Leave `it" 4-Sure....What are you doing to make it better ?....I ask myself ? Do you ?

Far too much money is spent trying to control it's use. Leagalize it , tax it and be done with it.

Please legalize it & invest in America,
in education, in rehabilitation, etc., or come `up with a solution that is best for `all (?) One person can make a difference, but you will never know unless you try (?) You could have the answer ?

The only reason cannabis became illegal in the first place is because it was too much of a threat to the textile, pulp and rope industries. They were afraid they would be run out of business if clothing, paper and ropes were also made from cannabis.

And now, for your enterteinment...

It's so funny that people who don't/have not used weed have such opinions... someone even said they don't even encounter people who smoke pot.. WOW then who the hell are "you" guys to even have an opinion?

I think you've all fell for Nancy Reagan's bull ****.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion, how does smoking it or not choose whether you get to pick or not? If only people who smoked it got to choose it would have been legal since the beginning. YOU might be the only ones affected by this in the big picture but we also will have to be around it much more as well so in fact we are affected by it also. Saying something like that is very, well not to be harsh, silly. We are all affected by this and we all get to choose.

First off, while weed is considered a drug, there are no mentally addictive chemicals found in THC. If someone says that they're addicted to weed, they are lying. It's purely a physical addiction. Fun fact, caffeine (soda, coffee) is more addictive than marijuana.

It bugs me when non smokers are so critical about the stuff. If you're going to talk badly about it, know what you're talking about.

Just my .02.

Thanks member's for your posts/words/comments/opinions of this very controversial subject.

I hope that we can keep our words friendly and look`up or research for the facts on this subject before we post them.

I learn a little bit everyday on the MCF, the Web & in life...My problem is that it keeps fall'in outa my head...My mind sometimes, OK, many times just becomes one big empty space

I've enjoyed reading everyone posts & I hope that our leader's/courts do what is best for it's citizens & our country.

I pray/hope that more people try to get involved in the issues they believe in or don't believe...The voice of the people can start with you ? ? One must act & not wait for others to change things that you believe should be changed....

That's `all I just woke `up from my recharge & must consume some food/beverages for fuel to continue one ~> Peace/Out from
