Haha, and the hole happens to be full of water and a hungry shark.

Hi R.J.,
It's sad that we live in a World that we have to guard our possessions. I would look into a security system...Many insurance companies will give a home owner's discount if you have a active system to protect your valuables & collection...
Please post more details on your suspected attempts to enter your barn...

I hope you find the attempted invader's ...Good Luck

Both doors were replaced october, 2009. The service door already has a dead bolt in it. One the officer suggested I start using. Perhaps even in the day time.

I was thinking a day or so ago. What if whoever did get the door open was one of the roofers?

Debbie & I were setting at a car show back in september, behind my car. A guy I have no idea who he is came up to us and proceded to tell us he was one of the roofers. That he told his fellow coworker about my cars and they went back to the barn and looked inside.

I know for a fact the SOB #$%^&*( crap eaters went through my parts upstairs. I can point out no less then 7 parts that are NOT where I laid them.

And this particular morning just by chance. The upstairs to the barn was open from the day before. I have a 3/4 inch cover at the top of stairs that secures the upstairs.

A guy I work with. His house was broken in to twice. As far as they can tell it ws someone walking by. There were so many breakins near him the cops stopped responding. He told me he bought 2 cameras off the net for $35. He said the type he has you have to hook to a DVR.

Cameras are okay i guess, but what good does it do to have a camera when you have nothing to impede them from taking something. Hell, crooks will rob in broad day light WITH cameras present, if they want something bad enough cameras won't stop them.
Dogs will bark, warning you of someone's presence and also warn intruders.

Like others have said, if theives really want it, they'll get it eventually. Hopefully that doesn't happen in your case. But if it does, having video proof of it happening helps to find who ever did it.

With the items you have in your barn, I would definitely have video cameras watching. Just for starters. I would probably also have an alarm system too.

In addition to the other good measures, here's a couple choices of signs you could put up.

For cameras to be efficient, you gotta have a good quality camera, and good lighting.

I have a whole slew of signs I can post, but I don't want to hi-jack RJ's thread.
