Default Scared ME!!

This past tuesday I think someone tried to break in my barn.

Why? Cause at 3:15am the service door was standing wide open. A door I know 100% for a fact I locked and closed tight when I came out last night.

Last friday I'd come home at about 8:30-ish and found the door standing wide open. I knew my parents weren't out there. They were in Virginia at the time. And my youngest sister said she hadn't been there.

So the 911 operator sends a cop out. Only cause I told him I wanted one out here. When the duputy arrives he acts like I'd interupted his nap. He gives me 5 excuses as the why the door could be open.

Since I believed nothing was missing, no report. But he said he'd make note they were out there. (gee thanks)

I feel only by the grace of GOD nothing was missing.

But I need a large gun or a large dog or both.

How about a large dog with a large gun. "Shoot him Fido!....... Good dog!"

Any plans to beef up the security of that door? Glad nothing is missing. If you've seen the post by "stolen86ss", classics seem to be especially popular with thieves right now.

Start small and simple. Bigger locks/dog/then personal protection weapon.

It also depends on where you live.
You mentioned barn, so i imagine your neighbors to be a few miles down the road haha, if so, you should definitely have some sort of protection. I would say a shotgun to start off with.

Also, put a door bell at the end of your driveway. Its sensor that whenever something walks/drives through it rings. That will help alot.

Brock that is a great idea.

As for a possible gun if you so decide, I recommend a Remington 870 Express Tactical. Thats what I picked up not to long ago.

They have these locks that are supposed to be theif proof... they basically conceal the lock part so ti's just a black box hanging on the door. They weigh a ton for their size too. That and a latch will help keep it sealed.
