lock it up
Do you have any motion lights out there ? You may need to lay a roll Barb-Wire down there. But seriously Motion lights and maybe even a Game/wildlife camera installed out of view would help determine and discourage any dirtbags from snooping around.

Video surveillance systems are fairly cheap now. Get something that records that way at least you will have pictures of who took your stuff because if they want it they are gonna get it. It doesn't matter what locks you have.

I was wondering about that too. Are they breaking the lock off, or what?
I like the sign Todd posted. Thinking about getting one myself if I see one anywhere.
I thought about the motion lights. I have them too. But in general, they're not really effective anymore. Everybody's aware of them. All we're doing is providing the theives with light to work in. Everyone thinks that the neighbors will do something if they see your motion lights come on. Most neighbors don't even see them come on. But even if they do, they assume it's a stray cat or something.

From a Canadian perspective (not a huge gun culture up here... lol...), I would highly suggest beefing up the locking mechanism and a dog... My overly freindly Blonde Lab sounds like a beast on the other side of the door when something comes too close to the house... They don't need to know that all she would do is lick them to death... lol... Good luck...

I'm in Canada too. I'm in Windsor, Ontario. But with my proximity to Detroit, I'm more likely to tell you to shoot the thief in the leg. So you can beat the crap out of him before you call the cops. "Honest officer, he came at me with a knife." :p

LOL!!!!!!!... I like it!!!!!... And with the slow police response times you could sing "And the BEAT goes On"... lol...
