Default Is It The Right Time?

Looks like I may be looking for a new daily driver? A '98, or '99, or maybe '00 Monte would be nice.

My '93 Dodge Shadow ES had a little engine trouble yesterday while Debbie was driving to her part-time job. (why is it when the car has a problem it suddenly becomes MY car?)

No coolant in the oil from what I can see. The coolant level was still close to being full althoigh I did see some on the pass front frame rail and lower engine cover. Crank the engine over and it sounds like no resistance what so ever. It does turn over easily. I removed the front valve cover today. Had my dad watch the cam for movement while I cranked the engine over. Looks like the timing belt might have snapped?

I hate to loose the car cause it's been a good one since I bought it in 2002.

Don't want the '03 Pae car being driven daily so I need to do something, soon.

If things continue the way they are going then I am going to have plenty of time for a road trip.

What about a good ol' 2006 LTZ?

Broken timing belts or chains are not that fun. I just replaced the chain in my fourwheeler and I'm going to do the belt in the Porsche here in a few weeks and it doesn't look to be any more fun.

Sorry to hear that RJ. This is why I like cars with a timing chain!

Go for a Monte! You can get an early 2000's for 3-5K.
