So a customer at work returned some seriously old used oil. Among the bottles were bottles of quakerstate from the early 90's, a bottle of armor all from 1995, a 'foodtown' water bottle filled with oil, a small brake fluid bottle dated 1985, and then finally....the prize of it all. A retro can of Gunk brake fluid with no date...

Looking on ebay right now, these suckers are worth $10-$20 each!



It has never been opened! I feel proud of this find... I wish I knew the date though..

 

Funny how some of that stuff has "value" when today we just toss it in the trash!! Try finding an old can of oil that you used to have to hit with a spout to open....

wanna know something scary? i've got boxes of stuff like that back in my storage room, lol. if you think that stuff is old my boss discovered a cardboard can of quaker state in the shop i work at, never opened. we used it in his lawn tractor, and i put the can on a shelf "for future generations to enjoy" lol.

oh and i'll take that old armor all if you don't want it. IMO the old stuff works alot better than the newer, most of the armor all i use for the monte is from the early 90's

 

the bottle was open and had mold in it. nasty!!!
