14-16mpg towing is awesome. Hope you enjoy the east coast while you're here. What do you have for a truck that you're getting tha kind of mpg. What engine.

Thanks! We plan on makeing a stop in NY as well. and im tryn to get the mrs to stop at Atlantic city as well...

If its feasable we were considering useing Maine as our home base (park the camper)and travel to the other states in the truck...Like 1 day stays per state...

We'll just have to see how that works out for us....we'll have 19 days to check out all that we can.

Is the reason we chose a 5th wheel instead at least for now... We like the idea of the convenience and freedom of just un hookn the pick up and being free to run to the store, movies, restaurants site seeing etc...

For now...its a win win for us...The mrs finally has 4 weeks vaca a year. were doing like i mentioned earlier the east coast and next vaca were heading out west.. you know vegas, cali, wyoming, etc... We did sturgis in 2009....(What a wild time):p...

Theres noth'n like hitn the open road and seeing the country!

(I do have a hitch instahled on the back of the 5th wheel) That way once i get another Harley...its going with us !!!
HI Stumpmi. Have to disagree with the milage thing on Diesel pushers. WE took a friend of mines out for a week in 2002. We got about 14 mpg pulling a S 10 pickup. As far as being able to leave your 5th whell or M/home and get in to your car or truck. They both work the same way. Leave one at the camp ground and take your car or truck. I DO agree with likg a 5th wheel. The choices are fantastic now. We looked at a Toy hauler 39 ft. With a garage 12 ft! Now that was nice man very nice. The back room was set up like a man cave. fridge couchs big screen tv and even a 1/2 bath. All for the small price of $ 59.000. Beleive me I wanted that dude right then and now. But for now a pusher is the best way for the both of us at this stage of the game. I'd have to buy a truck to pull it. Where buying the Pusher we have one of two cars already. Hey Man sorry I could look you up while I was in town. I was way to busy to see my shadow even. Too many old friends & family to tend to. I'd need a moth to do all we wanted to do. Hell I could see a few Monte members if I had the time. My wife starts watching the grand kids for the summer months as of Monday. So not enough time to do it all. I hope to be back for the Woodward cruise if my luck holds out. Ok gotta run.
