Default recent work to the monte

well its been a few months since i got on here.so heres what i have recently done to the car.

parking lights an dash lights quit working one day while i was out driving.
changed the light switch.what a pain in the ***.

while i was doin that i figured id change out the thermastat. it likes to run at about 190-210.on a decent warm day.so i got a 160deg thermastat.
another pain in the ***.the alternator bracket is broke.has been since i bought it.well to sum everything up.i got the housing off and found no thermastat.took the housing to a wire wheel cleaned it up.still cant believe how much gunk was in the housing an upper house an motor.looks like concrete.lol.well got it all back together.after breaking one bolt off in the block.went to fire it up.check the gasket for no leaks.looked good until i rev'd it up.water out both sides.so back all apart wire wheel again to get the gasket off.and sealer, lol gaskets suck..got my gt wheel put in.

oh,and the car goes sideways.only on a left turn.

and for the ones to ask it is not a 454 yet.just a old beat up 350
my plan is.a two tone paint job the breaks at the bodyline.
a 454 with about 600hp at the ground
a 4speed
12 bolt non posi with a spool.(alot cheaper this way)
black interior with sporty buckets with 5point harnesses.
thanks for taking the time to read this.i need to buy a new camera mine break about a week after i posted the pictures i did

Getting parts to seal up can be a pain in the -ZZ. I know.

Sounds like you've got a decent plan.

The car going sideways on left hand turns. Could this be bad bushings? Say in the trailing arms to the rear housing.

i was thinking more of weight transfer.i know the back right tire is the power tire with it being a open diff.and on left hand turns.getting on it the weight goes to the right and puts more traction to the power wheel.wich would let the left rear break lose then the right.

I didn't think you could drive a spool on the road, only on the strip.

arent spools just like a posi.but alot cheaper.it would be like having a air locker that is always locked or a welded rear diff..is that right?
