Keep us updated on how the Firehawks hold up - I'm really interested in getting those when I have to replace my Eagle GTs which will probably be before next winter.

I have the Firestone Firehawks on my '86 Monte. But mine are the SS version that are now out of production.

The guys on web sites like Tri-5.com say to replace your car's tires very 5 years. But that's just not possible in my case. If it were, the Firehawks should have been replaced in 2005. Cause they were installed june, 2000.

They still have 95% of thsir original tread and the sidewalls still look new. I try to keep them soft with a rubber conditioner.

If the funds were there I wouldn't mind a new set of the Firehawks in a 225/70/14.
