Yea as said before probably a strain. I lift alot and it hurts sometimes. Just do a quick stretch first.

This is what happened to me before and what sounds like happened to you. You "rotated" slightly, it happens when you dont stretch and you lift at an awqward angle. What happens is the stuff inside that holds everything in place (i cant remember what its called) gets a tiny tear in it because you didnt stretch. No big deal, its painfull yes, but heals VERY quickly.
And the whole salt thing, that worked because it dehydrated your muscle so there wasnt so much swelling, you need water in your muscles for them to swell.

While it's difficult for me to get my head around asking this kinda thing on a forum instead of talking to a doctor, I have two general comments:

1) With anything "ball" related, a doctor's visit is a must in my books.

2) How fundamentally wrong is it that someone would consider not going to the Doc for a "ball" issue because of cost. As Obama was campaigning for national health care, I heard all of the rhetoric about 'public heath care is wrong', 'Canadian health care is communist', and my favourite 'you get better quality health care when you pay for it". All I know is that if my ball hurts I walk into my Doc's office and ask WTF?! If it hurts REAL BAD I walk into the Emergency Ward. And I don't pay.

Maybe Obama's campaign slogan should have been "No Ball left behind!"

And yeah, there are all kinds of places where they offer finacial assistance. I know I had over 900,000 dollars in hospital bills that were paid for with finacial assistance. And there are not ALL clinics, some are really great places to be treated at. Like the hospital I went to.

So ur ball is sore! Sorry to hear that! lol I would say you probably just pulled ur groin. I worked for a landscaping company for many years, lifting boulders and such. My left and right "Friends" always got sore. lol Its if one swells up huge or stays swelled up for a lengthy period of time, then I would be worried.

Sorry to all the women who have to read this. lol
