To all the guys that put there heart and soul in there cars with no money,(I'm one of you) my hats off to you! We do what we have to do, then we upgrade our cars. My car is a reflection of me as I know yours is. We take junk and make it gold at the lowest price we can.lol I guess what I'm trying to say is, It don't matter if we win Monte of the Month or not, we get all the enjoyment we need out of our car's EVERY TIME we get in them!!! There getting faster by the day!

I don't even think it has to do with being rich or poor, it's just our hobby, our passion to make our cars our own. And it's nice we can all come together here and enjoy each others own visions. Props to everyone for what they do to there Monte.

Very very true! Everything I have done to mine so far is to make her my own, what I like, being unique and creative. I will always have some sort of Monte related project going on. My list is a mile long but my wallet is not compatible with that list lol, so everything in it's own time as I go, and there are some comprimises from time to time.

Very true statements everyone. I love changing little things on my cars, even if no one notices but me as I see the changes everytime I look out my front window and it brings a smile to my face. The best sense of satisfaction comes when I am out and about and a random stranger approaches me and gives me a compliment on my car, it honestly makes my day and to me anyways, justifies all the hard work that I have done to my cars.

I feel the heart of what Shelbo is getting at is that some of us turn our cars into a "diamond in the rough". Some were lucky to start with a gem brand new, just in need of a little personal touch, others started with something used in need of TLC.
I lost my last diamond in the rough wrecking my Grand Am, but it paid dividends in the end![Wink](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
And I like Jerry's comment. I love turning something low cost and sometimes unexpected into something very cool and usable!!!
