Default Pearl Harbor, a rememberance

Let us not forget 72 years ago today, 1,500 sailors, and civilians perished in a most horrible way.

Salute, my fellow sailors and Rest in peace now.

I got to see the Arizona Memorial. Truly a lot of history about this tragedy.

Something I learned while there, the ship is still seeping oil (you can see parts of the water above the ship that have that oily rainbow color). This is something I heard while there, local Hawaiian myth or folk lore believes it will stop seeping oil once that last survivor to the Arizona is laid to rest. Spooky if it happens.
And sadly, due to safety issues, many of the bodies where never recovered from the Arizona.

If anyone goes out to Hawaii, make sure to stop by, take in some history, pay some respects.
