this is hopefully the next project car for Mickey and Son.
If i can get the guy to hang on to it long enough for the next month or so to go and so i can make some money here.

But i figured it was time to get something i can really enjoy tearing up and building with the rug rat.
Belive it or not im giving up a 78 monte carlo for this. the same guy has a 78 in his back yard that he wanted to get rid of. I see this and stoped and talked with him witch is how i found the monte and also found out mor eon the Malibu.

Things i don tknow yet are year
the motro and tranny i plan to put in to it. etc...

the car needs a frame and front clip to be complete. oh that and front seats.

bad thing is i have to other folks willing to give me a frame but they live in Iowa and of course i dont have a truck or trailer to go get them . Go figure. they are willign to give them to me and i cant get there LOL

 

Not bad! Hey, if I had a way to get the frame to you I definitely would... unfortunately I don't think I could convince someone outta their truck for a week, lol. Plus a truck would still be iffy... almost have to have a flatbed or somethin.

Allthough I do have a contact that hauls car stuff... I could see if he would split a trip... take the frame to you, then pick something up in Texas to help pay for the way back so you're not cutting it all.... but it would still probably not be cheap, I can ask him though.

 

People here in OH would kill for a Malibu body as solid as that one looks.

I know how you feel about free parts. I've had people try to give me cars. No place to set them. So they got scrapped. I'm talking '55/6/7 Chevies here.

 

RJ!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to have another tri 5. I would be putting them in storage lots if i had to.

As faras the frame gose i would love to do it but honestly right now i dont have enough cash flow thanks to this slow assed part of the year to do much i will have to do some fast talking to get teh body of the car with out him tryign to crush it.

he has the steerign coloum and also the rear seat and the dash that all go with it.
So i litterly am looking for the tail lights and the front clip and the frame and the bumpers and the hood and front header parts.

im thinking the fenders and bumpers might be glass when done. might even do the doors this way to. but on the street im thinking i might keep those steel for protection.

 

Mickey, it's always good to bring along protection.

A guy up the road from here did have like 4 of the late '70s Malibus. I thought he was trying to start his own collection of them or something?
