...Hi `John & thanks for your posts. I hope that GM surprises `us & knows there's a market for a Coupe that will seat 4+ people. Not 2 many people will be able to afford the Caddy Coupe, but I still believe there is a market for a GM Coupe starting in the low $20K to under $30K. (I know I dream a lot : )
They could use the Caddy Coupe Platform & it's awesome v-6 with a six speed & just have member `EnZo Brock design the body panels : ) That would be `sweet

Caddy Division must not have done their homework.
Maybe 2 door coupes are just 4 the Rich
Maybe they won't sell & give us poor folks a
95 % DISCOUNT & sell then to us
for around $1K....Now that's a mistake
I could live with & afford.
Thanks `Duane 4 your input
Wish U & reader a `Happy
4-Sure
Look'in 4 a deal on a 2010 Caddy

have you noticed that the new cady looks like the g8 from pontiac but with sutle differences like the cady head lights and emblems.gm should use the g8 design for the monty carlos so they wouldent share the design of the cady but have a simular looks, but can be called two different cars ligetimutly

the one that was shown what i mean is cady changed the looks so they can call it a cady on a pontiac rear wheel drive frame. look at the corvett and the cady version cady changed the looks so they can call the vet a cady

As much as I would LOVE to see another Monte, I highly doubt it. At least in the next few years anyway...Face it, if the Monte was such a hot car, they would not have lowered the production numbers so dramatically in 05,06,07, and then discontinued the car. Plus the Camaro is taking most of the 2-door "middle class" market segment that GM would sell the Monte to.
I think GM is going to spend more time and money developing more fuel efficent cars, like the Chevy Cruze, then develpoing a car that will not sell in volumes, and does not get the greatest fuel economy. With the "new" GM, I think they will keep the larger, fun cars with "bigger engines" to one model in a specific class, and produce multiple fuel efficent smaller engine cars.
I think the Camaro is more competition to the Monte than it ever used to be now. its larger than before, and has a lot of fans behind it (myself included )
Like I said, I would LOVE Chevy to produce the Monte again. OMG, I would be in trouble for sure, because i'd probably run out and want to buy one. LOL. But I just don't see it in their plans. Maybe Chevy can surprise me???
