It's a '72 Chevelle SS (not a clone), 402, 4 speed, black interior, bucket seats, power steering and brakes.

The interior is in great shape, and the body LOOKS good, but it's got some issues. There's some bondo here and there, and a 3" rot spot in a floor board, and the trunk pan will need to be replaced.

It needs a clutch. I'm going to have to trailer it home next weekend. It hasn't been driven in at LEAST 5 years. It's got a small cam, an Edelbrock performer intake, a Holley carb, and headers. The factory intake, Quadrajet, and "cowl induction" air cleaner are in the trunk, along with the factory cam and the original AM radio.

It also came with a spare engine, a '70 396?

I bought it for a new summer part time daily driver, not as a show car.

I got more pics, but I can't get my computer to recognize my camera's card right now. I'll post more when I can.

It is in running condition, I drove it. But the clutch is too week to drive 1 1/2 hrs home. I don't trust it.

I kinda got lucky on the deal. The owner had 3 people ahead of me. One guy drove from IL with cash and a trailer. He called a week ago and knew what he was getting. He got there today and LOWBALLED the owner with a wad of cash. Owner told him to get back in his truck and leave NOW! I was the last guy he talked to, about 20 minutes earlier. He hit redial to me, and was still steaming when he called me. I hit the ATM, and 3 hrs later we cut a deal. I was actually 3rd in line, but this was the 2nd craigslist deal that went sour on him. Just good timing and a little luck, I believe.

I've been looking at this and that since last fall. I've had big blocks, and I've had muscle cars, but this is the FIRST BIG BLOCK MUSCLE CAR I've ever owned!

I'm GEEKED!

Congrats! Chevelle's are AWESOME muscle cars. I like the slightly older ones (that have two headlights per side, the separate high and low beams).
