Sorry to have taken so long to answer GPD.

The new truck is what they call an LT.It hasan uprgade package called the 1SC which adds the bucket seats, but in cloth, where the LTZ is standard with leather, the 5.3 engine, and a few other goodies for the mere price of $2900 smackers. It also has the "pure pick-up" dash set up rather than the woodgrain one in theLTZ. I kinda like both dash set-ups, and I couldn't find an LTZ that wasn't loaded to the eyeballs, and would have been at least $4-5000 more.

 

Thanks Space Dood for the updeate on the Silverado. Mine has the 5.3, I sure hope it does better than 13.5 mpg. Believe it or not, the Canadian MPG rating on the window sticker calls for 19 city and 27 highway. We have a bigger gallon here, so the Canadian MPGratings are higher than US.

I don't expect to get the published numbers, but my 05 gets about 21mpg highway, so hopefully the new one will better that by a couple.

 

candian should be KPG shouldn't it? and you guys will just have to kick my @$$, but i absolutly HATE the new silverado, and actually like the toyota. the silverado before this one looked GOOD, no lie. i drove a 93 before this, good looking trucks. GM designing is gone against my liking in the last couple of years. iknow the same guy who designed the corvette designed the camaro (although i like the rear of the new corvette better). they need to get rid of the guy... that camaro just doesn't look anything like what tehy say it is intended to look like. i'd rather they brought back the 90's camaro. btw, how is ti they discontinued that and the trans am becasue they weren't selling, i still see them EVERYWHERE i go. but back to the truck, i think the same guy who designed that corvette and camaro designed this thing... and he needs to be fired. sorry to the owners, i'm sure they're good quality trucks, but i jsut don't like the design anymore.
