That's great to hear that AutoAnything did the right thing. It took a somewhat nasty email from Michael expressing his opionion. And possibly some help from Todd. But it worked!

Way to go Todd for sticking up for a friend like that!

Michael, since you're now satisfied with AutoAnything's refund, I took their name out of the title of this thread. But I think buyers should still be ware of possible problems with them. After all, you did have to complain before they did the right thing.

In my opinion, they should have refunded your money with out you having to complain.

But glad it worked out (somewhat) in the end.

Thanks for making the title change Lou. And I agree, I should have never had to write that e-mail in the first place. It should have been a "we are sorry for the problems you had with the Jet Chip, please send it back to us and we will refund you the entire amount." But it was not that easy. However, I am happy they at least woke up and did something about the situation. Thats a lot more than I can say for Jet Performance.

On a side note, I am familiar with programming chips.

Before you can program a chip, it needs to be completely blank. Occasionally, chips don't erase properly or weren't erased properly. Depending on the type of chip, having a bent pin while in the programmer/eraser will cause this, in addition to a number of other reasons.

Either way, if your chip wasn't erased properly or completely blank when Jet Performance programmed it, that would corrupt the information they programmed onto your chip. But that's something they should have verified before they took the chip out of the programmer.

The chip could've also been corrupted many ways during shipping.

Anyway, AutoAnything gave you your money back. It's now up to them to go after Jet Performance to find out what happened and who's at fault.
