My second detailing job
Hey guys so today I did my second detailing job. The car was a 1992 Mustang GT. The owner also has a newer Challenger RT which he wants me to detail next week. The owner of the last car I did recommended me to him.
This was also kind of a big detail for me personally. The car was in rough shape, The front bumper as well as the right rear quarter panel, rear bumper, and trunk were completely gone and even though they still had paint, they had no clear coat. So I couldn't really do anything to them other then just wash them. So this car really put my skills to the test. It was also the first time I have polished a car that belonged to someone who wasn't in my family so that was kind of scary at first because I didn't want to screw anything up but it went really well I think and the paint (where it could) really came back to life.
Now here is the big thing, the owner of the car is head honcho (under the owner) of this garage/shop. The owner of the shop has about 8 cars that he needs detailed. He also came out and talked to me a bit while I was washing the car and he pointed out a couple buildings across the road that have a total of about $8 million worth of cars in them between the 2 buildings. He said there are everything from Porsche's and sports cars like that all the way up to Lambo's and Ferrari's and he knows the owners of those cars and they all want those detailed. So cross your fingers for me, because this may have been the start to my business exploding. I have always drempt of coming this far and just doing cars like I have done so far. I never even thought I would have a chance to do some high end stuff like Ferrari's. Today was a good day.
Anyway here are the pics from the job, let me know what you guys think

Yea it was a ton of work. In total it took about 10 hours, probably would have taken longer have I had to compound and polish and wax the entire car. But since a few of the body panels were shot and I couldn't do anything to them, that saved some time. Overall though it turned out great
