Default My first detailing job

Hey guys so today I did my first detailing job. As some of you know I've been wanting to start my detailing business for a while now and do my own thing rather then work under someone like I do at my current job. I have to say it is a lot more work then I expected. I found myself being a lot more particular since I wanted it to be perfect for the customer and that was a lot more mentally draining then when I just wash my car. But I loved every second of it.

So what was my first car? It was a 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392. This was a good car to start on since I know how the paint is and everything from my moms Challenger. So that was good, however since this is someones baby, it really made me be a lot more aware of what I was doing. All in all I had a great time doing something I love and I made some pretty good money as well. Here are some before and after pictures.

All in all the car wasn't to bad. Mainly just a bug covered front end, and dirty wheels and wheel wells. Took about 4 and a half hours or so to complete it

Very nice work! I spent Monday buffing out my Stang from scratches I put in the paint trying to remove all of the stinking salt off of it over the winter.

Yea salt is nasty stuff. I'm glad to be in the south now and don't have to worry about salt near as much as what I did when I lived up north

Looks great and a great looking car as well. If you are looking for any more info on detailing or cleaning a car check this guy out. He knows what he is doing and i have personally spoke with him as i was trying to learn more about repairing paint. and he went out of his way to contact me to help me out with it. videos may be long but he is entertaining

Yea, I've watched all of his videos. He has a lot of great information. I'm saving up my money now to go down to Florida to the Autogeek headquarters and do Mike Philips school that he does.

My favorite dodge color

Looks like you did a great job!

I really wish one of our detailing members were closer to me, so I didn't have to bother doing it myself every year
