Default My oldest Sister

My oldest sister had to have a heart valve replaced. They did this last friday morning @ 8:30am.
She had, had chest pain the saturday before so my brother in law took her to the hospital. They gave her some medications and took her to a larger hospital in one of their ambulances.
The doctors had originally thought they could do a less invasive procedure but by wednesday it was obvious they would have to do open heart surgery.
They also discovered she only has 2 valves where a normal heart has 3.

A couple years ago they had found evidence her heart valve was damaged and needed replaced. They suspected the hard drugs they gave her to treat the leukemia caused this damage to the heart valve.

Today she looked much better and was setting up when we arrived. They think she can be moved out of ICU soon.

This woman has been through so much. Surviving leukemia and now this. I know God has great things in store for her.

I hope things continue an "up swing" for your sister RJ! Lord knows we're read about many members here having family members and friends (and sometimes our members themselves) with medical issues. It's refreshing to here one that is looking up!!
