Hello, all. I just had to do a thread for this to get this off my chest. I want to tell/share the story behind my daily driver Monte's name/theme "The Black Rose". Simply put, she is a rolling memorial tribute to my mom who passed away in 2005 of an inoperable brain mass/tumor that took her life only 6 weeks after diagnosis. It was a huge turning point in my life. She was my best friend and I still feel that emptiness. She was an INCREDIBLE artist, art quilter, and doll maker, smart, patient, not to mention the most generous, selfless person I ever knew and she taught me that it was ok to be different. She was a strong and beautiful woman. Black Rose symbolism: The black rose's quality of being a rare flower renders it an apt symbol of profound love, or other such things of a rare nature. It is also the symbol of rebirth, especially a rebirth of beauty, or of the mind.
I just finally found a custom memorial decal for my mom that has a rose in it and "Mom" that will go on my lower back window as soon as I get it! I will post a pic of it in my garage at that time. It's like 5" x 7", not overpowering. So let's hear your stories! Thanks for listening! Does this qualify to be a sticky note?

Mine's pretty easy to figure out and surprising no body else came up with it.

 

Kinda adopted mine from Lord of the Rings. I am also a gemstone and jewelry nut (especially rings), so the gold ring "my precious" in the Lord of the Rings is priceless and that is how I feel about my 03. The 05 - well there really wasn't much thought to that LOL!!!!

 

mine is kristen after a friend. just like my monte shes white and has a big behind.
