Duane,

Looks like once again Space has done half our research for us.

Does he get a ride in the Turino once it's back on the streets terrorizing unsuspecting Monte Carlo owners?

Brakes... Those are the deals that make the car stop right? I can see why you wouldn't want to drive without them.

Duane, seeing you picking this up is making me want a project. I would love a late 70's Trans-Am to put back together.

Taz and I are going to steal your car, paint it orange, lower it and put it on 22" wheels!

Its an awesome car. It looks like fun. '69 is the only year The King Richard Petty drove a Ford, and it was a Torino. Can you guess how I would paint this?

Contact Ford Motor Company Themselves... Why? Because when I was in Manufacturing, we built a limited number of parts for every model year from the Model A to today's models, for Chrysler, Ford, and GM.

Your first quest is to find, WHAT department is responsible for Historic products, and then you will find the parts. GM has a huge warehouse near Ypsilanti that contains old parts. I don't know where Ford's is, but they have one!!!

hm.... get Ford parts from Ford... interesting idea Craig!!!

Richard Petty left Plymouth in 1969 when Dodge came out with the Charger Daytona. He believed hte Plymouth's were inferior on the larger speedways and superspeedways and wanted to drive the aerodynamic Daytona. The executives at Chrysler insisted that he stay in a Plymouth, so when the Torino Talladega was released, Ford got him!!!

The Torino Talladega had the front end that tapered down in front of the nose (my car's front end stops at the hood), and the rear quarter fenders and bumper were tapered to make it more aerodynamic (I think). All 754? of the Talladegas had bench seats, C-6 automatics, and 428 Cobra Jet engines.
