Just throwing it out there. What if (it's a big if) But, what if the guy shoe horned an L67 in there. Ran out of room for the air intake, so he had to run it out the bottom. Maybe it's a track only car?
Those cavy's came with the 3100 in them from the factory.

No really. If someone (not necessarily the guy in the picture) modded one of those 89-94 Cavaliers, to fit an L67 engine and tranny combo. That would be a beast of a cavalier.

A 6th gen Monte with all it's weight is rated at 240 hp with the L67. Put that into the lighter and smaller 89-94 Cavalier.

I had a Z-34 Cavalier, I loved that car... it was also a 4 Speed...
I dont remember what motor it had in it... But it was a blast to drive..
Great for scootn in and out of traffic.. It too was triple black like my monte with the same tint... Just after the wreck I can no longer drive a stick..

But I could just imagine how Bad Azz it would be with that kinda swap!

David, if your Z24 was 1990-94, it was a 3.1 Before that was a 2.8 litre. I had a 91 Z24.
