Afternoon guys.

I got the Monte washed and gas treated for storage the other day, just need to throw the cover and tender on it and both cars will be set.

The Pontiac Silverdome, past home of the Detroit Lions from 1975-2001, is being demolished starting with a large implosion this Sunday. This was the state of the arena in 2014...

And this project, which will become the tallest building in both Detroit AND Michigan is set to break ground by the end of this year.

Wow that just looks like it was trashed and TeePeed, or to much snow on the top.
It is always great to get the buildings renewed. In some cases the old facility gets so rundown that it will lose all its safety.

Good morning MCF. It's been a dry fall here in Southside VA. Hoping for some rain.

The SS is still hanging on. I am waiting on the divorce to be final next month and the property settlement to be final. Then I can start over again and decide what to do vehicle wise. I still want a 7thgen SS.

Good morning guys. It's been pretty mild so far but it's going to start getting cold here. This past weekend made it up into the low 50s. High of 48 degrees today but gradually down to 32 by Friday and then highs in the upper 20s next week.

The Monte is all tucked away for winter (archived photo contests for me for a while). I also got all of our outdoor stuff put away in the garage last night too.

The Silverdome's first implosion on Sunday failed but they did another yesterday which worked. The implosion was only meant to bring down the upper steel structure - the remaining will be demo'd later.

Hi everyone, I also put my project away for the winter. Needed garage space for daily driver and the snow is here for the next few months. Going to chase down some parts in the meanwhile.

Wow that was pretty interesting.
There were some parking lots that appeared to be full nearby. I would think the car owners wouldn't want to be that close. Flying debris maybe a factor??

Remember the Volkswagen Dieselgate scandal? Those are actually Volkswagen diesels that cheated the emissions testing. The Silverdome lot here in Michigan is one of (what appears to be) three holding facilities for these TDIs while Volkswagen figures out what to do with them.

We drove into Lincoln,NE to get the Equinox Serviced this morning and it was pretty nice, they gave us a 2018 Cadillac SUV as a loaner. I was amazed at all the gadgets it had. Took along time just to get the thing in the correct position to move it. Reminded me of the Fly by wire F-16's.

Anyway on the drive home I-80 was like a Blizzard, it only lasted about 28 miles but I hate driving in it with the wind gusting and snow flurries that are heavy.

Ahh! Okay I see. Maybe they can bring over some part that will convert them back to what they should be to meet the standards and then resell them a reduced cost. No, no
