Well I hope that everyone had a great weekend. It was fair week last week here. Friday was real hot and at the fair they had a battle of the bands and our group assisted with the bar during the concerts. There were a bunch of folks there. They had it in the Arena area, saw a little bit of Dancing but the majority was just standing around chating. Then on Saturday they had a Car show at the Fair I didn't enter it was more of a classic thing. But alot of nice cars.

Good morning guys.
Just got back Saturday evening from a week trip in Arizona. Hottest day was 115 degrees on Monday the 6th. We visited Scottsdale, Sedona and Page and saw Bell Rock and the Red Rock State Park area, the Grand Canyon, did a private viewing of Horseshoe Bend, Lower Antelope Canyon and Slot Canyon.
The view over Sedona and the Grand Canyon seen from Desert View Watchtower.

The Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. We were out that way in 2014. I remember when we helped move my Son and his wife to Phoenix and we were just driving down the mountain from Flagstaff and I saw all the saguaro cactus they were quite the site I had to stop and see it up close.

Good morning guys. Heading toward 90 degrees today with a very slight chance of rain late.
Here's a recent shot of the work at the Hudson's Site in Downtown Detroit. This is the site of what will be Detroit's (and Michigan's) tallest building when it's complete (in roughly three years).

Good morning guys. High around 80 degrees today with rain.
Today marks the 31st anniversary of the Northwest Airlines Flight 255 crash at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The MD-82 crashed right after takeoff, around 8:46 pm on Aug 16, 1987, killing all 6 crew, 148 of 149 passengers and 2 people on the ground. The sole survivor was a 4-yr old girl on the plane. The plane never made it 50 feet off the ground, traveled approx. 2,700 feet past the end of the runway while striking a light pole and the Avis rental car building before crashing on Middlebelt between Wick and I-94. The crash was the result of the flaps not being extended. At the time, it was the second deadliest aviation accident in the United States.

Human error or even like friendly fire in a war zone. That just sucks when that happens. Mechanical stuff is bad and there is nothing that can be done.
Been a while since I checked in so I thought I'd say howdy. I might have disabled my Monte by pulling the computer for my brothers car as a test part and getting it un programed and back to factory settings. Thanks Jason Long boring electrical story behind that and I think I bypassed everything the old fashion way, so I don't even know If my car needs one anyhow. Think I might have torque convertor issue starting so I will park it and investigate , but think I will have to weigh the car and put a tach in to figure out my rpm's before I pull the tranny. Hopefully we can get a few more entries in the photo contest , you guy's have some pretty nice cars and that Drivernuber3 guy does give us some good idea's to get some pictures of our Monte's that we can look at years from now. Thanks Dean

Good morning guys.
Had another great time at this year's Woodward Dream Cruise this past Saturday! 40,000+ cars and 1.5 million spectators from all around the World. First picture is mine I took while cruising, the rest are from local news sites and are not mine. This is one event you have to experience if you have not!
