Monterey California Car Week 2011
Track pictures
Transam class at turn nine. Sharp turn - brake, control, accellerate.

After the hairpin. Getting pictures here is like a video game shooter. Fire away at the shutter and hope you catch one.

Corkscrew. I hiked up there and found some shade. By then the less-than-2000cc 50s racers were on the track - a few shots of the buzz-bombs:

Time to go -
Parking lot B2, Where's Waldo Sugaree?

Keeping company with with some high priced machines in the lot

But wait!! There's more
Day 5 continued.
Here we are back in downtown Pacific Grove for the Pacific Grove Ralley. No special rules, pay the entry fee and you are in. Everything here from restorations to daily drivers. I once was going to enter the Firebird, with a tounge in cheek binder full of things like it's Craigslist ad, oil change reciepts, how to fit later rims on an early 4th gen 'bird, etc.
Huh? A Mazda slogan on a 'Stang?

Viper

Unlike my long gone 1977 LTD II Ranchero, there is more than air under the long hood

Another sweet car I lust after.

This is the Chevelle/Elco best body style, IMO

Beauty.

Big old Riv

Inside the Riviera

Block of dreams. Vettes all lined up

Is Wilson Pickett here?

Glove Box door signed by CS

Engine bay bling on the Mustang

Lincoln with suicide doors

A real Shelby

This Lingenfelter person has a great looking Camaro

A 2003 Corvette done up in classic Stingray bodywork.

Pulls it off pretty good

Called "The 2003 CRC Conversion"

This modification - uh. well.

Guess what it is

Figure it out?

Firebird 400

Ram Air

Hands down my favorite of the show. 67 Fairlane

Another one for the Chevelle fans

The Nova (or is this one a Chevy II?), one bad a$$..

. ..family car

Day 5 contining
Oh wow, a Celica!

Ferd

'58 Olds

Rocket tails

A newer Olds

Rocket wire hubcaps

Ramblers. I notice more and more restored Javelins showing up these days

Ah, here's a relationship I am happy to be out of. Triumphs and thier bad habits.

No coolant needed - Corvair Spyder Turbo

Could you increase the value by getting Ralph Nader to sign the glovebox?

Day 6 - Last of my motor adventures with the Concourse D'Lemons

"Celebrating the Oddball, Mundane and truly worst of the automotive world"

Pinto drivers have a good sense of humor

Same applies to the Caddy Cimarron

The Econoline covered in foil.

AMC Eagle - the first CUV

Another Rambler

Checker with napper

Model T GT

K-Car Charger

Latter day Nomad Vega

59 Caddy

This Studebaker has two motors -
