Now for some muscle cars!
63 Impala (or as the license plate reads: 1MPALA

1MPALA interior

Ford Galaxy 500 (before '500' was a name for a lame Taurus replacement it meant top of the line)

'Cuda

Z28

Mach 1

Mustang GT/CS, making good use of that extinguisher

Roadrunner Super Bird. Imagine being 11 years old, car crazy and living in the era. Yep, I seen one of these on the local Chrysler Plymouth lot.

WRX got nothing on this wing

Horn Button

Day 2
Concourse On The Avenue, Carmel

Found on the street
What looks like a Charger meetup is merely two rental cars trying to find a parking place

Porchee Spyders meet up

Fill up with $4/gallon Carmel Shell gas

Rolls rolling by

Stingray on the hunt

Carerra for sale and very bored looking lady

Cobrah

Army

Benz on Scenic Drive

Best car in town -

See ya tomorrow for the littlest pieces of crap show from Pacific Grove.

Got three events lined up after that - a rally from Pacific Grove, a day at Laguna Seca for the historic races and the Concours D'Lemons.

I remember seeing some other meetups in a parking lot by the wharf that was more my taste with 60s and 70s cars. Hope to bring more of the rest of Monterey Car Week.

Goal is to find a Monte someplace. Really, is there no honor out there?

Day 3, My quest for free car exhibits continues - today with "The Littlest Car Show". Little cars and a little show. Weather today was overcast and chill.

First, 4 wheel machines

There was an awful lot of Fiat representation here. One of several X 1/9s

A scattering of Fiat 500s, past & present. Though the present was looking more like a sales pitch.

Sales pitch also applied to the 2nd Tesla at a showing in 2 days. Since the factory is 90 minutes (whattzzat, range of one full charge?) away I guess we can expect to see them. But there was a sales pitch going on. Anyway, this red battery runner looked a lot nice than the Comet Cleanser Can green one I saw in Carmel's street show.

Lotus 7

Yes, its a Honda

Honda interior. I'd be afraid of breaking that stalk of a shifter

Honda again. I'd seen Honda cars from the very beginning of the 600 micro car. This was interesting to see.

Also from Japan, this Toyota "Sprinter Trueno". Meh. Looks like any old beat up Celica commuter.

Citroen 2CV. Didn't have cupholders in those days.

Under the hood of a Citroen 2CV. Interesting shift linkage that goes to a **** that sticks out of the dash.

Morris Pickup. A friend named Rocky had a Minor, it was best known for vapor locking and we'd have to pull over and wait it out. Rocky's short term cure for vapor locking was to carry a cooler of brews. Vapor lock? Pop a top and take a walk.

Best of the class IMO. Triumph Herald. Only like because I once owned a TR3. I sympathize.

Triumph has tilt front end.

Hey, hey its the Moke

Moke runs Hoosier wheelbarrow tires

BMW Isetta.

Day 3 continues at Pacific Grove's "Littlest Car Show"
3 wheels

Didn't we see the stability of these demonstrated on "Top Gear"?

Odd little capsule, it's a Messerschmitt

After seeing that odd thing I was surprised by another one a block away!

BMW 3 Wheeler

Morgan

Morgan. Exposed Valve springs, wow.

Morgan. What do the levers on the wheel do?

Electra King. Pimpin' with that Caddy hood ornament

Electra King

Found on the street - 2 wheels

Gets 83 MPG the owner claims. Craig Vetter, designer and inventor of the Windjammer fairing,Triumph Hurricane Motorcycle and fuel economy motorcycles

There's nothing free scheduled for tomorrow so I don't expect to find any camera worthy items to post - check Friday for more!
