And there we have a line in the sand. Its the threshold we can use to measure ourselves on the forum:
You are an old MCF'er if you remember American Bandstand
You are not an old MCF'er if you do not remember American Bandstand
Now you know who you are....

I do remember American Bandstand. Just barely. I can even remember KISS being on there without Peter Criss and I was pretty confused by that!

Good Morning ARIZONA . YUP ! finally pulled in here on Sunday around 2 pm ish... Then the fun of unpackin in our new home here in Az. Then after unpacking we headed to get some food in here. Also stopped for a little Caesars pizza for dinner! its funny now that I think about it. The 1st thing I did was connect the big screen tv we broght from home And turned on the football games whilke we settled in. Its a bit cool here in the valley arond this time of the yr. BUT NO ****! Just plenty of SUNSHINE. Our New place is great. Really a nice interior. Still have a lot to do in and arond our new winter home. Goin to take a few days to get everything where we want it. Man I remember watching AMERICAN BANDSTAND Back in the day. My sister and I watched it every day after school. Dave I remember watching Rita bell movies also!. Angie google american bandstand and watch it. DAMN it feels good to be here in the Arizona valley! Sitting here with the Sun coming in the dinning room window with a cup of coffee next to me. And talking with you guys. Life is good in Rick's world this morning. Dave I also agree with you about Mike. MIke has helped me out at times on here also. I read all of what Mike has to say. Avery level headed youngman. For sure. Me being i think the senior member on here. I see a lot of great members giving out good advice on here. And I think thats GREAT. MIke , Taz, Space, Jerry give out some good details. As far as new Years eve partys. We never were into that for New Years eve. But I do like to party still. But never do I drink & drive! To many bad things come ot of that! Ok wife is getting on me about being on here all morning. Its 9:03 am here in Az and we have things to do. So I'd better hit the shower and get going. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS ON HERE. C U all later........................

Not drinking tonight...I'm the one dragged into opening the store New years day. I shouldn't complain...I had a nice 3 day weekend to myself
On the topic of alcohol.....got a cheap $20 rolling tv stand at walmart...it makes a beautiful liquor shelf.
...its the perks of marrying a bartender.

Afternoon all. I will be working at a club tonight making everyone else have fun. I was gonna take it off and stay home for the first time since I was a teen but like the money too much. My kids will all be gone and my wife is going out with our friends and then coming to where I'm working so it should be a fun time. I worked at my other job today so im gonna take a nap now. Be safe everyone.

Hi everyone! It's just past 4 here in southern Ohio. Snow is falling outside and it's just below 30 degrees. Spending a calm afternoon inside looking at cars for sale. Playing fantasy world with money I don't have hahaha imagination can be good for the soul.
Was sick in my stomach yesterday so I'm not too sure about my New Years Eve plans, but I do know I'm doing something.
Reflecting back over this past year I honestly want to say the best part of my 2012 was meeting Bob Dotty (an original owner of an '89 Z24) and Jim ? (an owner of a custom '79 Malibu). At my Monte's first show, they gave me a place to sit out of the sun and to talk about what cars we love from GM. Saw them at every other show that summer and we'd talk each time. These two guys in there late 60's couldn't have been more repectful to me. It was really cool to see someone at that age admire my front wheel drive V6. I don't need other people to care for me to like my car, but it's great when they do!
And in general I'm glad I continue to get more involved with the car scene in my area. Ever since I started taking my '95 Z28 to events as a sixteen year old, I've been hooked on the friendly atmosphere the shows provide. Hopefully I'll be admited to the Nation Monte Carlo Owners Association in time to go to the nationals they host each summer!
Of course I'm glad to have become a member on here to experience more (than I can describe) about one of my favorite cars from Chevrolet.
Have a good New Years everyone!!!!
