National Monte Carlo Owners Association (NMCOA) has a show once a year. It's held at a different location each year, usually somewhere in the Midwest, and there's usually about 150 Montes total. I attended quite a few back in the late 90's to early 00's with my parents (Dad's 72 Monte). I think the last one I was at was in 2004. It's in Richmond, Indiana next year which is relatively close so I'm planning on making the trip.

 

Oh ok, cool. What time next year? How far from Detroit is that?

It will take about 4 hours from Lansing MI But I asssume all the Michigan MCF members wil meet somewhere and convoy in (AWSOME)

 

I'm totally down for a Monte convoy to nationals!! I don't think my Monte is nice enough to compete, maybe it will be by then, but I'll for sure go!

Of course, I'll bring my momma and no pine needles.

 

I was initially thinking, for myself, I-75 down through Ohio to I-70 west (3 hours), because being in Ann Arbor that route is shorter for me in both time and distance. US-12 to I-69 south is 4.5 hours for me. However, If we can get a few that want to meet and convoy down I'd prefer that. We could meet in the Coldwater, MI area and head down from there. Still plenty of time to figure all that out. I've thought about trailering mine but I'll probably end up just driving the car.
